Welcome to our guesthouse L’Amiradou, located on a farm dating back to the 19th century. L’Amiradou is located in the heart of the French region “Drôme Provençale”, near the lovely villages of Dieulefit and Saoû.
The story behind our guesthouse
As lovers of old stone and stunning landscapes, we decided to give a new life to this beautiful farm and chose to combine comfort with authenticity.
The five guestrooms have been designed in a “Provençal” spirit and therefore named with words picked from regional dialect and referring to local nature. The décor was carefully selected to reflect the style of the building. We spent time at flea markets in order to source the furniture we wanted for each of our guestrooms. Furthermore, we hand painted the ceramics that you can admire in the bathrooms.
The premises
To ensure the comfort of our guests during summer as well as winter, we have installed high-performance building materials and systems. All windows are triple glazed, and we paid particular attention to installing thick insulation. L’Amiradou has solar panels and a solar heating system backed-up by a pellet boiler. But above all, the renovation work has been carefully made in order to preserve the authenticity of the farm.
Your stay at l'Amiradou
During your stay, you will be able to benefit from the serenity of the region and enjoy the stunning views while relaxing in the garden or in the pool. Should you be interested, we would enjoy showing you around our permaculture garden. Should you be more of a hiker, there are plenty of walking routes around the local countryside.
